Ultimate Tennant Suit - FINISHED!

Yippeeeee!!

After several weeks sewing – a year gathering trousers – a couple of years knowing the fabric originated from GAP – the day has finally dawned when The Ultimate Tennant Suit is FINISHED!!!!

I can’t hide that I am pretty cuffed about how well it has come out. I have spent a lot of time researching and studying the suit, as well as testing how to make it, all of which appears to have paid off.
Here are some detail pictures of the completed jacket.

  1. Congratulations Steve! It simply looks breathtakingly amazing!

Are you planning on making this available to a wider audience or are you lacking in enough GAP trousers for that ?

    Cheers,

    Eddie

  5. So how does the Magnoli fabric and/or various other options compare? Are they still a worthwhile choice?

  6. Damn, this is impressive. Congratulations!

Although this might be off topic, but what kind of knot did you tie the tie with?

  11. My heart sank.

Naturally not due to the post itself, but simply due to what COULD have been image wise in that email.

I am SO damn jealous that I could not get a first hand look at this beauty.

You should most definitely be proud, this thing is amazing.

I think it goes without saying that you will always be my first port of call when it comes to the Tennant Suit/Coat Steve!

Are you asking to BUY the Ultimate Tennant Suit? If so, again you need to read through my blog to know the answer to that one . . .

    1. How about BUYing your pattern? Is it for sale? I've been drafting for weeks now, and any time saved would be fantastic. Not to mention - I've got the coat to do as well!

  16. It's only three trousers right?

  17. Where do I get the trousers?

  18. If you look back at the cutting phase of making the suit, you'll see I used FIVE pairs of trousers to make the jacket. You then need to have a pair as trousers, so SIX in total.

They occasionally come up on eBay, but they are long sold out and impossible to find.

This suit was a true one-off.
